For Strength Coaches Who Want to Start Training Clients Online...

My Story, My Mission

I started personal training 6 years ago.

From day one, I knew this wasn't going to be a part-time gig for me.  Not just something to kill time till I found a "real" job.  And sure as hell not just an excuse to get a free gym membership.

I wanted to be more than a guy in a name tag who was paid to show people how to use an elliptical.

I wanted to be more than a trainer.  I wanted to be a coach of strength and a coach of strength athletes.

It took a long time, but I'm finally able to work with exactly who I want to work with and offer a level of uncommon experience and service.

Now, through a combination of in-person and online distance coaching, I can focus 100% on helping serve the needs of my audience while pursuing opportunities that fulfill me personally and professionally.

Where The Industry Is Going...

When I first got started in fitness, the CrossFit movement combined with at-home workout DVDs like P90X to bring intense training to the masses.

Now, powerlifting is one of the fastest growing sports in America.

All the while, luxury gyms like LifeTime are raking in profits hand over fist.  On the other hand, budget facilities like Planet Fitness are springing up on every corner.

What does this mean for us in the fitness industry?

Our customers have more options than ever.

This is good. Competition makes us all have to do a better job to earn our keep.

Around 2 years ago, I realized quite simply that the majority of the audience I wanted (and was best equipped) to serve didn't go to my gym, or live in my town.

What I realized is my audience was spread out in little pockets throughout the whole world.  They weren't going to find me, I had to go to them first.

So I began to double down on creating online content, services, and products.  And I cutback on in-person training for those who weren't a right fit.

Again, we get back to the power of having options.  Your clients have plenty.  You should too.

Who I've Listened to Since Day 1...

One of the first books I read on training was Ignite The Fire by Jonathan Goodman.

It's no coincidence that my choice to make training a career coincided with the reading of this book.

I devour nearly every blog post he publishes on The Personal Trainer Development Center and buy nearly every course and book that he creates or recommends.

I owe a huge part of my success to Jon and the information he generously curates.

A few years ago, Jon put out a course all about developing an online training business.  I could barely justify paying for it at the time.  But I did.

Again, it's no coincidence that going through that course set me on a path to creating the business that now allows me the freedom to work with my chosen audience from anywhere, anytime.

Now, armed with dozens of new case studies and input from nearly 30 in-the-trenches experts, Jon has rebuilt the course into a full-blown certification course called The Online Trainer Academy.

All The Systems & Information You Need For A Successful Online Training Business

People ask me a lot of questions about what goes into training people online.

I've helped a few colleagues get started and have even thought about offering my own business consulting service.

But honestly, I just repeat a lot of the same stuff I've learned from Jon.

Yes, I have my own way of doing things (I'm hard-headed like that), but I recommend everyone cover their bases with the type of education you find in the Academy.

With that, Jon is opening enrollment for the Online Trainer Academy soon (you can't just sign-up anytime) and I'm happy to help promote it.

I don't take such a thing lightly.

My reputation as an online service provider is intimately connected with anyone I chose to affiliate with.  I, and thousands of other coaches, have benefited from Jon and his information for years.

If you're ready to make a bigger impact by starting or growing your online offerings, this is a no-brainer.
